The creator & maker
Julie Anne Rasos is a graphic designer from Maui, Hawai’i and is now currently residing in Oregon. She created Humble Stitch Studio because of her love of storytelling through design, the joy she finds when making things with her hands, and wanting to create heartfelt gifts for people to cherish. Her patience and close attention to detail makes embroidery the perfect medium for her to share her work with others.

The work created at Humble Stitch Studio is inspired by the idea of recalling our past memories and happy recollections. Memories are delicate and sentimental and each embroidery should reflect that. We believe that every detail in each embroidery should be intentional while accompanying a person’s story through a gentle and soft approach, not hidden behind overpowering colors and unnecessary elements. This is the reason why we strive for simple and minimalistic designs, and utilize a neutral color palette in all embroideries.
Our style keeps us and our work unique from other hand embroidery work you see online which is why it is crucial that we remain consistent in our style. We take pride in our work and ensure that each piece will be of the highest quality down through every detail.
